Jim Ross is admired for his years of contribution to wrestling, not just as a commentator but also as an executive. The WWE Hall of Famer turned All-Elite in 2019. No joke! The fact that Jim Ross showed up to work with an eye like that is simply commendable.

Do a shot of Jack and rub some dirt on it…you’ll be fine.

Bully Ray’s advice may not be the most practical remedy but after tonight, Jim Ross surely could use a couple of drinks. Nevertheless, bad eye or not, Jim Ross still showed up to work and sounded as good as ever.
That said, JR will continue to join Nigel McGuiness and Kevin Kelly on Saturday Night at Collision. However, he will need some time away to heal up.
Jim Ross may take some time away from AEW due to his eye injury
AEW Collision was replete with action-packed matches. But nothing came close to the main event involving ‘CMFTR’ and ‘The Switchblade’. The crowd went wild and you could even hear JR in his element on commentary. However, after the show, the 71-year-old took to Twitter to give an update about his condition.
He wrote, “I apologize for the way I sounded tonight. Going to step away to heal. Thanks for your support.”

Considering how gruesome his eye looked, Ross rightly deserves adequate time off to heal up quickly. For now, the announcers’ table team for AEW Collision will make do without the legendary voice of JR.
