WWE changed WrestleMania 38 plans for Ronda Rousey
The Baddest Woman on the Planet brings an immense good value to the company. Therefore, when she became available for WrestleMania 38, WWE changed it’s entire plan.
Initially, WWE wanted to build a match between the Four Horsewomen of WWE – Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley. However, when Rousey’s calendar opened up, the company immediately changed their plans.
Ronda Rousey returned at Royal Rumble 2022 and won the women’s match. After meeting Lynch and Flair, she decided to challenge WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair for WrestleMania 38.

Both of them will be headlining Night 1 of WrestleMania 38. In fact, this will be the second time Rousey and Flair will headline WrestleMania. Both of them headlined WrestleMania 35 along with Becky Lynch in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 35, making it the first time women headlined The Show of Shows.
Since Rousey challenged Flair, Lynch was wide open. Therefore, after winning Elimination Chamber women’s match, Bianca Belair became the #1 contender for the Raw Women’s Championship and she will face Becky Lynch for the title at WrestleMania 38.
As of now, it’s unknown what WWE’s plans are for Sasha Banks and Bayley for WrestleMania 38 or if they will at all be present at The Grandest Stage of All!
