In the last few weeks, the WWE Universe has witnessed a ‘passing of the baton’ moment involving John Cena. The 46-year-old, who is amidst an extended in-ring run, is currently working with LA Knight to give an impetus to the latter’s career. Keeping up with the storyline, Cena was seen facilitating a meeting between Knight and Roman Reigns on the last episode of SmackDown.
The storyline altruism might have gotten the WWE’s G.O.A.T plaudits from many corners, but one pro wrestling legend wasn’t happy. A 52-year-old WWE Hall of Famer pointed out certain mistakes that Cena made during the segment.

With an experience of over 21 years in the business, John Cena arguably doesn’t need instructions from others regarding conduct and application during a show, but Mark Henry has other thoughts. The deliverer of the World’s Strongest Slam tore into John Cena during one of the recent episodes of the Busted Open podcast.
Henry spoke about the SmackDown segment on October 13, where Cena came face to face with Roman Reigns, but then excused himself. Cena told Reigns that the former hadn’t earned the right to challenge The Head of the Table but knew someone who did.
LA Knight’s music played within seconds and the 40-year-old came out to the ring. He was then handed the mic by Cena and got involved in a promo battle with Reigns. Henry said Cena’s antics and body language during the segment weren’t apt. “The number one thing was drawing attention to himself,” Mark Henry said. He also spoke about a similar mistake he had made “once”, which earned him condemnation from Ron Simmons on live television.
Mark Henry also suggested the alternative action for the 16-time World Champion and spoke about what should have been done. “… Why not have John Cena, once that introduction and all have happened, they should have found a way to get him out of there,” the former World Heavyweight Champion said. To be fair, John Cena did emote a lot during the whole segment, but did he warrant criticism from his seniors? That topic is up for debate.

Meanwhile, LA Knight is set for a massive match at Crown Jewel, following the promo battle against Reigns.
Will LA Knight win against Roman Reigns in Saudi Arabia?
The match between Roman Reigns and LA Knight hasn’t been made official yet. However, it is an open secret at the moment and it is a matter of time before the promotion announces it. Both Knight and Reigns have been advertised for the November 4 PLE in Saudi Arabia.
The only logical option as Knight’s opponent is Reigns, who is currently the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. But will Knight be able to strip The Big Dog of his belt? It is unlikely that the belt change will happen during the match at Crown Jewel.

However, even though Knight might not win, a match against the top guy in the promotion is huge for his career. He, however, is likely to have a title reign in the near future, given his current popularity. Cena is also advertised for the event, so will The Cenation Leader extend his help during the match? Only time will tell.
