Gable Stevenson has joined WWE, and as a young wrestler in the industry, he obviously needed a guiding star. Well, he did have one – Brock Lesnar.

While talking on After The Bell, Gable Stevenson revealed that The Beast had reached out to him much before he even won the Olympic Gold or achieved what he has until now to teach him about the industry.

“Just Brock a while ago was preparing me for my long journey that he knew I was gonna have. So, before I even won the national title, before I even was doing the things I do now, win an Olympic Gold, Brock came into my freshman year at College and talked to me about winning and friends and having the right people, the right circle around you.”

Not only did he explain how Brock Lesnar helped him, but also appreciated The Beast for taking the time to guide him. In fact, Lesnar talked Stevenson through his own life and the path he took to attain success.

“You know, having guys like that, you really don’t see the big time ballers and players in the world. And, to have them come in and sit me down and give the gist of how his life was and how he became so successful and try to put it into me.. you know, it’s like a once in a lifetime thing. You have to listen, you have to take those words and run with them.” H/t After The Bell
