AEW often rises to the headlines for signing many new talents now and then. Ex-WWE stars form a major portion of these newcomers. While the AEW roster is already strong, Tony Khan is always looking for more.

WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg seems like his latest target. WWE Universe has been speculating about the WWE legend joining AEW for a while now. But it becomes double after Goldberg’s free agent status came to the surface today.

Bill Goldberg returned to the company back in 2016 after 12 long years of disappearing. Since then he has been on a role gifting some marque matches to the fans. Though Da Man was quite inactive since last year’s Elimination Chamber, he has not done yet. He has more to do with wrestling and it’s obviously not under WWE anymore.

Fans speculate about Goldberg’s potential AEW joining

So, it’s quite clear what his next stop might be. Though there is no official confirmation yet, his WWE contract end and utter indifference toward retirement makes enough space for fans’ predictions.

Fans really think Goldberg would be a perfect fit for Tony Khan’s AEW.

Some of them believe Khan will get a fighter who has already established a name, fame, and stardom for himself and hence it will be an added advantage for AEW.

Some of them even start anticipating the potential opponents he might have to face in AEW.

Some haters also want the star to retire as soon as possible. But retirement is not his cup of tea for now.

WWE ignored Goldberg’s retirement match claim

Last year, he was rumored to reach the end of his deal with WWE until the star himself confirmed that his contract days were still left with the Stanford company.

Amid the vague status of his WWE contract, the four-time world champion once claimed that WWE owed him a retirement match. He also clearly mentioned that if WWE isn’t ready to offer him what he deserves, he has some other plans, which include going to Israel.

Though WWE ignored his claim later, it’s pretty evident that the superstar is very much in the scene gearing up for another few matches before finally hanging up his wrestling boots. In another past interview, The Iconic hence noted, ‘My days are not done yet. My days may be numbered, but my days are not over yet.
