The entertainment industry has witnessed a large number of wrestlers make a substantial impact on the business. The wrestling legion is therefore not surprised to see their favorite wrestlers appear in films or television shows. Some are attempting to establish themselves in the same field, while others have established their prowess for their work in the film industry.

Well, speaking of entertainment, there are some superstars or legends who have or are going to have a movie or show in their name. But who are those? Let’s find out.

Dwayne Johnson had Young Rock

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the biggest stars in the Hollywood industry. The $800 million star is notorious for his blockbusters, such as Jumanji, Moana, Fast and Furious, and many more. But a comic web series that recounts his childhood and formative years is Young Rock. The American television sitcom did a great job, as it amassed a decent 8.1 out of 10 rating on IMDB.

Moreover, it aired on NBC from February 16, 2021, to February 24, 2023. With three seasons, the sitcom churned out 37 episodes to entertain the public. Clearly, the sitcom was no less than a joyride for the fans, as it also bagged the award for Best Broadcast Network Series, Comedy.

Vince McMahon may showcase his life story to fans

Since its first announcement in 2020, there has been a lingering sense of anticipation for Vince McMahon’s docuseries. Because of that, the former WWE boss was the talk of the town. The series was supposed to be out in 2022, but it was postponed due to the accusations and controversies surrounding McMahon.

Bill Simmons of The Ringer, the documentary’s executive producer, did, however, disclose that the series is still in development. Simmons stated in an interview with Jimmy Traina on the Sports Illustrated Media podcast that he thinks it will come out in the first half of 2024. Well, the wrestling fans are surely waiting for this with bated breath as they want to know much about the man who has played a pivotal part in the immense success of the promotion.

Hulk Hogan is another name on the list

Hulk Hogan is another name that appears on this list. Now that there has been discussion about his biography, Hogan has become a hot topic. The biographical film, which was to be directed by Todd Phillips—the man behind films like Joker and Hangover—was supposed to be produced by Netflix.

Netflix, however, no longer owns the production rights to the film for several reasons. The Hulkster is optimistic that it will be made, nevertheless. We now need to see if we get to view the biopic of him or not in the future.

Kurt Angle gave an update on his biopic

Undoubtedly, one of the greatest in the history of professional wrestling is Kurt Angle. Given his success in the wrestling world, a movie about him might be in the works. The former World Heavyweight Champion disclosed that a film is currently in production based on his life narrative.

In a recent interview with the True Geordie Podcast, he said that production is likely to begin early next year. It appears like Kurt Angle’s years of hard work may have paid off since his biopic will shortly be released.

Cody Rhodes’ biopic reveals a lot about his wrestling career

Cody Rhodes’ name might be the first that comes to mind when discussing the wrestlers who have shown their mettle in the ring throughout the years. The 38-year-old has, in fact, done everything it takes to be regarded as the most important figure in the WWE. Something similar is revealed in his documentary, American Nightmare: Becoming Cody Rhodes.

It shows how Rhodes didn’t start out in the WWE getting what he deserved. After that, he made his way to NJPW and subsequently AEW to show his abilities. As one of the biggest names in the world, Rhodes is now in the driver’s seat after working really hard for a very long period.
