WWE signed a 10-year deal with the Saudi Arabian government in 2018. Since then, the promotion has held events in the country on a regular basis. However, Zayn was not able to participate in these events. His Syrian ethnicity was the reason for his unavailability during Saudi shows. Saudi Arabia and Syria had diplomatic tensions during this period and hence Zayn couldn’t perform there.

But that could stop the WWE Universe’s love from pulling him to the country. Eventually, Saudi Arabia granted him a passage. On May 27, he wrestled at the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah at the Night of Champions PLE. In the main event of the match, he and his tag team partner Kevin Owens defeated The Bloodline (Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa.)

Zayn is going to Saudi Arabia again

Clearly, WWE had a positive response when they brought ‘The Underdog from the Underground’ to Saudi Arabia in May. This is why they have set another match for him in the country at the upcoming premium live event. During this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, the promotion announced that Zayn will have a match at Crown Jewel.

His opponent for the match is going to be JD McDonagh. The promotion booked the match after the two stars were engaged in a promo segment with The Judgment Day on the 10/30 edition of the flagship show. Just like last time, it looks like this time too, the fans in the Middle East nation will welcome him with open arms.
