The biggest party of the summer is just around the corner and has plenty of matches stacked up for the event. SummerSlam is arguably the second biggest event in WWE’s calendar after WrestleMania. However, despite being such an important event, this year’s PLE missed out on a certain important fact, and Triple H might be in trouble.

Although, being such an important event, this year’s PLE missed out on several important women’s matches. Rhea Ripley is again going without a title defense, while Becky Lynch versus Trish Stratus could have been an ideal PLE match but will now take place on an episode of RAW. With the lack of women’s matches on the card, fans finally held their ground and started speaking out.

Social Media is a popular way of getting people’s attention. And with WWE being extremely active on social media, fans took the route of Twitter/X to showcase their anger against the lack of women’s matches at SummerSlam 2023.

With both Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch missing out on opportunities at the event, fans believed they had enough of WWE. Although, Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Charlotte Flair would be fighting for the Women’s championship, and Ronda Rousey will battle Shayna Baszler in an MMA-Rules fight, there was an opportunity to add more marquee women’s matches on the card.

Rhea Ripley won her World title at WrestleMania 39 from Charlotte Flair. However, her title run is yet to find proper momentum. She hardly has had any title defenses and is mostly seen protecting the lot of The Judgment Day.

A fan took to social media to start a new hashtag campaign, “#WEWANTEQUALITY” as another acronym for WWE, and also as a pose for standing up for women superstars. No sooner did the campaign begin, several others joined to showcase their support.

As the unfair booking became more prominent, fans started calling out Triple H for this decision.

Fans join hands to revolt against WWE’s biased decisions against the women of the company

The match-card for WWE SummerSlam is filled with eight matches, with only two of them being women’s matches. This did not sit well with the fans, and the WWE Universe, and they recently came together to show their support for the women.

While the WWE Universe is hardly together, they decided it was enough. The entire wrestling community came together in support of the women and started showing their support. This is something akin to the #givedivasachance movement years ago that led to the women stars in WWE getting more match time and opportunities.

There is still time left for SummerSlam, and if WWE takes this seriously, they could possibly incorporate both Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch in the event, alongside Trish Stratus.
