Fastlane was kicked off by one of the most awaited tag team battles of all time, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso versus Damian Priest and Finn Bálor for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team championship. This was a battle of the ages and fans were rooting heavily for Rhodes and Uso. And their teamwork eventually helped them clinch the tag titles at Fastlane. But this was not the first time Rhodes has won this championship.

He has done so with 4 other stars as well taking his total tag titles tally to 6.

Fans knew very well that winning the titles from Damian Priest and Finn Bálor would definitely take its toll. As Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio and newly added member JD McDonagh were sure to play their dirty games. And so they did as halfway through the match, the other members of The Judgment Day made their dastardly presence felt.

‘Mami’ tried her sultry moves to distract Jey Uso but he zoomed in on at the task at hand. Eventually, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes worked as a team to deliver Rhodes’ finisher Cody Cutter and, finally, the Cross Rhodes to become the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.

But Jey Uso is the 5th person that Cody Rhodes has won the tag team titles with. In his career of over 16 years, Rhodes has had the opportunity of teaming up with some outstanding talents to pick up tag team gold. He started off by winning the World Tag Team Championship with Hardcore Holly in 2007 within just a few months of joining the WWE. Then later in 2008, he won the same championship again with Ted DiBiase, with whom he later formed the faction, The Legacy, including Randy Orton.

Then in 2010, he teamed up with ‘The Scottish Warrior’ Drew McIntyre to win the WWE Tag Team Championship at Night of Champions. Post that in 2013, he teamed up with his real-life brother Goldust to win the titles another 2 times. During this time, he donned the character of Stardust which he heavily detests even to date. 

But now that Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes are the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, who should be their next target?

Rhodes took his sweet time to gain a title belt around his waist but that time has finally come. But now that he has achieved this goal, his next target should be to clinch the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship

His newly formed tag team partner Jey Uso clearly still has a bone to pick with Roman Reigns. Thus, he can be of great help to Rhodes in achieving this goal.
