The WWE Universe is gearing up to witness the spectacle that is going to be the Royal Rumble. So far, the promotion has put the effort in to carve out immaculate storylines that make it impossible to guess who may come out as the victor of the 2024 edition of the PLE.

Roman Reigns has a tall task in front of him as he defends his title against AJ Styles, Randy Orton, and LA Knight. Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes too are itching to emerge victorious to fulfill their goals. There are multiple possibilities, and here we present you with a few top candidates for the road to WrestleMania:

CM Punk

The Best in the World made his much-awaited return to WWE after nine long years. And it took no time for him to become the talk of the town. While CM Punk has almost won it all in his illustrious career, one dream remains unfulfilled: to main-event WrestleMania.

The Second City Saint is in prime position to win the Royal Rumble. He is already a top-level draw and considering the bad blood shared between him and Seth Rollins, he would be the perfect man to be the contender for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40.

Drew McIntyre

The Scottish Warrior is a former WWE Champion and has been a dominant force in WWE. He has been in the main event scene for a while now, and with his recent heel turn, he poses a significant threat to anyone who stands in between him and the World Heavyweight Championship. One thing is for sure. ‘The Chosen One’ is a force to be reckoned with as he continues to wreak havoc.

He has been feuding with multiple superstars now and has even gotten another title opportunity. However, he has failed to deliver when time requires. Maybe finally, this is his time to seal the deal with a Rumble win and fans get treated with the symphony of ‘Broken Dreams’ as McIntyre stands tall.

Randy Orton

The Viper is a veteran in the WWE and has even won the Royal Rumble before. A master strategist with the ability to outsmart his opponents mixed with his sheer cold-blooded attitude is a recipe for disaster for any opponent who dares stand against this maniac.

And the last episode of SmackDown did establish him as the last man standing after the barrage of RKOs he delivered to Solo Sikoa, AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Roman Reigns. Returning after a year and a half away from the company, he still holds considerable sway among the WWE Universe. His absence has contributed to his hype. Moreover, his viciousness means that Randy Orton is a top candidate to win the Royal Rumble.

LA Knight

Probably the one with the most hype behind him, the ‘Million Dollar Champion’ is one of the top rising stars in WWE. And the biggest promotion in the world is aware of this fact, as they are playing their cards right by putting him in main-event feuds. Already a part of the Fatal 4-Way to steal the title from Roman Reigns, LA Knight sure has the in-ring capability as well as mic skills to be the next face of the promotion.
