Dwayne Johnson’s mother has suffered a car accident twice

Earlier this year in February, Ata Johnson became a victim of a deadly car accident in Los Angeles. It was after that incident that ‘The Rock’ revealed how tough his mom was and briefly disclosed his mother’s past hardships in an Instagram post, which he shared shortly after his mom’s car accident.

Thanking God for saving his mom from a terrible car accident, he claimed that his mommy dearest is a true survivor. Turns out, it was the second time she suffered a car accident. In 2014, she had a head-on collision with a drunk driver. She was fortunate enough to leave the place unscathed.

Ata Johnson has survived lung cancer, a tough marriage, and an attempted suicide

As a part of real-life battles, Ata Johnson had been through some very bad days. In the past, she suffered from stage-3 lung cancer. Fortunately, she recovered in 2010 and is healthy as a horse today, even at the age of 75. Furthermore, in 2015, Johnson disclosed about the tensions between his mother and father.

The Johnsons had money problems in the past and due to Rocky Johnson‘s over-demanding profession, he and his wife often got involved in arguments and fights, which their son would get a whiff of. Also, a few years back, Johnson revealed some details of his mother’s attempted suicide on a social media post.

He stated that once he (when he was a teenager) pulled his mom off the middle of the highway to avoid oncoming traffic. He also said that his mom has zero recollection of the incident which she attempted after the family lost their home.
