WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is a man of odd choices, there’s no denying that. The owner of the biggest wrestling promotion once made a rather bizarre request to a former WWE writer.

Freddie Prinze Jr. was a WWE writer who wrote and produced for Vince McMahon’s company. However, he recently shared a story where Vince and the team were traveling inside a plane; it was here that Mr. McMahon made a bizarre request to Freddie.

Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, Wrestling With Freddie‘, he revealed that he was minding his business watching something on his laptop when Vince approached Freddie asked him to join him and watch the previous year’s WrestleMania

“About ten minutes in and I feel this like firm thump on my shoulder. And I turn around and Vince goes ‘What are you doing?’ I say, ‘I’m watching Richard Pryor’. [Vince McMahon] He goes, ‘We’re watching WrestleMania'” confessed Freddie.

However, what’s funny here is that Freddie told Vince that he knows they are watching the previous year’s WrestleMania, but he had already seen it. However, Vince said he knows it and he wants Freddie to join him, and he had to.

Now, with Vince McMahon, it is hard to predict why he did/said a certain thing. However, a plausible explanation of watching previous year’s WrestleMania can be that he maybe was looking for some cracks and trying to figure out how can he improve his product.

Speaking on the same podcast, the former WWE writer revealed that just like professional Hollywood stars, Vince McMahon doesn’t read the whole script and just memorizes his part.

“I know a lot of actors who are like TV actors who don’t read their scripts, they just read their dialogue and memorize it… It’s not just Vince that does that. There’s plenty of successful people..,” he said.
