It was filed in June 15th, 2021 and currently, there are no further updates about how far it has progressed.

Now, since it’s a petition for a new trademark, it’s doubtful WWE will intervene with the process. However, knowing the history behind trademark wars, what happens next is unpredictable.

WWE released Peyton Royce and Billie Kay in April 2021

In a string of releases, WWE involved The IIconics. While there were other shocking releases, the fact that WWE released Peyton Royce and Billie Kay even though they had made recent appearances, was slightly absurd.

Both of them revealed it was an absolute shock to them when they got the call from the company. Nevertheless, after thinking about it, they could have predicted it since WWE had split up The IIconics towards the end of 2020, and moved Kay to SmackDown. Since then, WWE hadn’t involved them in any major storylines.

Regardless, the company let go off several Superstars who had made recent appearances, and for some of them, it was completely unexpected.

As of now, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have made no announcement about their future plans. Nonetheless, it’s given the duo will stick together since they have filed for a trademark for their new tag team name and have even started a podcast together – Off Her Chops.

Considering Cassie Lee is married to AEW star Shawn Spears, it does not guarantee them a spot on the AEW roster. Now, as THE IINSPIRATION, Royce and Kay, can be of huge help to push forward AEW’s women’s division.
