Gillberg was on the road and used to do house shows and TV shows on a weekly basis. Once Gillberg had $ 3,500 in his locker and after his match was over, he went to check and it was stolen. He searched for it and confronted every superstar in the locker room and shouted. Vince came and asked what was the noise about.
Gilbert explained this by saying, “Vince comes out, ‘What’s going on in my locker room?’ I said, ‘I’m sorry, Mr. McMahon.’ He goes, ‘What’s happening?’ I said, ‘Somebody stole $3,500 from me.’ He goes, ‘What?!’ I said, ‘Yes, sir, Mr. McMahon, I wouldn’t lie about that.’ He goes, ‘Chief, pay the man. I’m sorry that happened in my locker room.’”
This gesture by Vince shows how much he looks out for his superstars. He tries to be in constant touch with all and makes sure every WWE superstar is being looked upon.
Gillberg later said Vince is a great guy. He has always been a kind person to Gillberg. He thanked Vince for paying him the money, but Vince thanked him back for everything Gillberg did for The Chairman.
