The former WWE Superstar, James Ellsworth, was a part of the Royal Rumble 2017. That iconic year, the Rumble featured WWE Superstars like Goldberg, Brock Lesnar, and The Undertaker.

Notably, James Ellsworth in 2017 secured a spot in the Royal Rumble by asking fans to support him. Ellsworth took to Twitter and urged the WWE Universe to help him become a part of the Royal Rumble match in San Antonio.

However, he entered the Royal Rumble at #11 but was eliminated by Braun Strowman and Dean Ambrose in 15 seconds.

In an exclusive interview with Ishan Chavan of EssentiallySports, James Ellsworth revealed a backstage instance with living legend The Undertaker. Of course, we all know how The Phenom puts fear in opponents’ eyes. However, that is not what Ellsworth spoke about.

James Ellsworth opens up on The Undertaker’s modesty!

The former WWE Superstar reflected on The Undertaker being rather down to earth in real life. Taking him on a trip back to the WWE  locker room, host Ishan Chavan asked James to describe any of his interactions with the Undertaker.

James said, “I’m at the Royal Rumble. He [The Undertaker] came in the locker room. And it was just cool to me. He shook hands with everyone that competed in the Royal Rumble and said thank you to each and every one of us. To me, he didn’t have to do that; he just wanted to do that.”

For James Ellsworth, it was an outstanding feeling to experience, shaking hands with the WWE legend. The former WWE Superstar described the moment as ‘awesome’.

What did Ellsworth learn from The Undertaker?

James also mentioned that during his time in the company, The Undertaker shared his experience and knowledge with him. Learning things from the one and only Undertaker is beyond incredible.

“He did that to like, so much respect for the business, man and taught me a lot, like to this day, I make sure to say hi and bye to everybody that I come across in a locker room, because of that moment,” Ellsworth added.

The gesture by The Phenom Undertaker is admirable. Given his long wrestling career, surely, The Undertaker may have been in many WWE locker rooms and inspired many WWE Superstars, like James Ellsworth.
