Goldberg and ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt were involved in a feud before WWE released ‘The Fiend’ earlier this year. This was a shock to many fans, as before his release, Bray Wyatt’s character ‘The Fiend’ was one of the most interesting ones in WWE.
Wyatt reigned as the WWE Universal Champion twice before his release. His first reign as the WWE Universal Champion ended when he lost to Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown.
Not only did he produce some supernatural moments, but he also produced some splendid matches by going against top WWE superstars and legends. The Fiend’s uniqueness and creativity very much impressed former WWE superstar, EC3.

Speaking with WrestlingInc, EC3 claimed that The Fiend’s defeat to Goldberg at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 was when professional wrestling died for him.
He said, “I’m like, this is amazing, and then I remember, I would call this the day wrestling died for me, I wasn’t even there, when he just got beat by Goldberg. I’ve watched this man work so hard, and be so unique, and be so creative, and do so many different things, and take it upon himself developing something so special, to have it just thrown away by someone’s decision. That’s where Control Your Narrative came from.”
Wyatt finally got released on July 31, 2021. However, there have been rumors of Wyatt returning to professional wrestling. But his destination is still unclear as AEW and WWE both remain a possibility.
Goldberg to face Bobby Lashley at WWE Crown Jewel 2021
Bobby Lashley has only lost his WWE Championship to Big E last month, but there seems to be a different challenger in his way now. That challenger is none other than Goldberg.
Lashley and Goldberg have a past, of course. Back at SummerSlam, Bobby Lashley tried to injure Goldberg after the match with a steel chair assault. Seeing this, Goldberg’s son made his way to the ring and jumped on Lashley’s back.
But that did not end well for his son. Bobby Lashley immediately turned the tables and put Goldberg’s son in The Hurt Lock submission.
Two weeks after SummerSlam, we saw Goldberg appear in a live interview via satellite on Raw when he announced he was hungry for revenge.

We also saw the two wrestlers get involved in a segment, where they agreed to a No Hold Barred Match at the Crown Jewel PPV. Goldberg later claimed that he was happy with the stipulation, as it would give him the license to kill Lashley.
