When Fiend started having matches on TV, the booking of his matches did not impress the fans and some big personalities. After Randy Orton defeated The Fiend in his final WWE match, various personalities like UFC’s Daniel Cormier, John Cena Sr., and Booker T showed support to Wyatt and criticized his treatment.
It was said that Vince McMahon didn’t understand Wyatt’s vision for the character. WWE had cleared Wyatt two days prior to his release. It seems Vince didn’t know what to plan for The Fiend and so released him.
