The Viking Raiders haven’t been seen for a long time in the WWE. Both the former Raw tag team champs both got injured a few weeks back. A few hours ago, Erik took to twitter to talk reveal some news about his recovery. The former Raw tag team champion is being treated at Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama, under Dr. Jeffrey Dugas.
On social media, Erik commented on his surgery. He revealed that he was ignoring it and tolerating the pain.
Today I had hardware removed from my cyborg arm. I’ve been putting off this surgery for a long time and just worked thru the pain and limitations caused by a surgical screw protruding into my triceps.
Thanks to the wonderful Dr Dugas, I’m excited to come back at full strength. pic.twitter.com/9iwOr8jZKE

Erik had previously suffered a broken arm back in 2014 due to a motorcycle accident. The Viking Raiders member was last seen against in a losing effort against Riddick Moss. Two weeks back, he suffered another loss to Moss on Raw Underground. Erik is definitely out for the time being after his surgery. Unfortunately, there is no good news about his partner Ivar either.
WWE superstar Ivar may be out longer than expected
Almost a month back on Monday Night Raw, one half of the Viking Raiders Ivar suffered a cervical injury. This injury occurred as Ivar was trying to perform a suicide dive during their eight-man tag team match against ‘The Hurt Business’.

On the Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer spoke about how bad Ivar’s condition is.
“Nothing is for sure, but it has not been determined whether or not he will need surgery. It’s a significant injury, once you say that it tells you that it’s not like a stinger where you’re gonna come back in two weeks. It’s probably a lot worse than that. So, it’s not determined yet, but it’s absolutely as of today a possibility.”
If rumors are to be believed, the Viking Raider may be out of action for a year or even more. With both members out with injury, it will be interesting to see what the road ahead will be like for both these superstars, especially with WWE cutting down on staff due to COVID-19 budget cuts.
