Former WWE Diva on Kissing Segments with John Cena and The Rock: “It’s Not Sexy”

WWE Superstars need to go along with a lot of storylines on-screen. It also includes disputes, emotional scenes, kissing scenes, etc. Recently, former WWE Superstar Maria Kanellis talked about kissing John Cena in her early days in the company.

WWE involved Maria Kanellis in several fascinating storylines during her WWE tenure. During her tenure in WWE, Maria competed in many matches. In 2008, she became a part of SmackDown, where she made her attempt to win the WWE Divas Championship. She was also a part of the Survivor Series event where she participated in the Raw vs SmackDown Divas match.

Maria was a part of SmackDown where she did a kissing scene with John Cena. It was during the feud between John Cena and Edge where Maria featured in a mixed tag team match with John Cena against Edge and Lita.

Maria kissed Cena before their mixed tag match showdown against Edge and Lita, where John Cena calms down Maria. During the scene, it amazed WWE fans to watch the Prototype in a kissing scene.

During her recent interview, Maria opened up about working with WWE and her backstage scenes. Moreover, she added how her family supported her on-screen relationship.

She said, ‘I’ve kissed people along the way on television and everybody is always like, “Oh, you kissed him!” It is the most awkward experience of your life! It’s not like this, “Oh, this is lovely” – no, it is awkward!

“There’s a camera, there’s a producer, there’s your writer, then there’s makeup artists out there sometimes watching to make sure your hair’s in the right position as you’re kissing this person.”

“It’s like, “Oh no, can you turn your face a little bit” – and eventually you’re kissing the side of their face. There’s hot lights and you’re wearing, “I’m sorry, I smell”, tanner – it’s not sexy!”
