Former WWE authority, Jonathan Coachman had an interesting run in WWE. During his tenure, he worked as a WWE color commentator, broadcaster, authority figure, and even had some say in creative storylines. However, there was one black spot in his WWE career because of WWE legend, Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Coachman detailed one incident of his career when the legendary wrestlers refused to work with him, thinking that Coachman is not fit for his level.
Coachman and Stone Cold were scheduled to have an in-ring bout at ‘Taboo Tuesday’ but the Texas Rattlesnake ended up getting pulled from the show and replaced by Batista.

Jonathan Coachman thinks Stone Cold Steve Austin bailed on him
Speaking on Q&A session on ‘AdFreeShow Patreon‘, Jonathan detailed how the things between Austin and him derailed before their performance at Taboo Tuesday.
Jonathan said that Stone Cold didn’t show up even though the storyline was entertaining and the WWE Universe would have loved to see it because Jonathan was a heel and Austin a babyface.
“That was not one of his best moments. He felt like it was below him to step into the ring with me. Even though the storyline was pretty good and at the time I was a heel that was getting quite a bit of heat in the arenas. It wouldn’t have been much more than talking a little trash, you know, Stone Cold Stunner and then I’d wear a dress, but he didn’t even show up,” [h/t: Fightful]
Jonathan didn’t get his paycheck
Jonathan also confessed that he did not get his paycheck for the night because Austin simply didn’t show up that night which cost him his paycheck.

“He didn’t show up. That’s the truth. He felt like it was below him, he didn’t show up, but it wasn’t the only time that he did that. The only thing — I’m not even bitter to this day about it. I wish I would have got the check.
Because I didn’t get the check. When you wrestled Stone Cold you got paid more. But I have no ill will towards him at all because he had a long career, he had a lot of things going on, he was a big star, and I certainly wasn’t in his world. But that particular time, I wouldn’t say it was his best moment.”

It’s good to see that both individuals do not carry any kind of grudges or hatred towards each other and still are in connection.
