On the recent NXT PPV, NXT Deadline, The New Day defeated Pretty Deadly to win the NXT Tag Team Championship. This means that The New Day now holds the honorable place of the first team to capture the tag titles of all three brands in the company.

But this also means that Kofi Kingston, after his reigns with CM Punk, Evan Bourne, Xavier Woods, and Big E, has become the man with the most tag title reigns in the history of the company.

In the past few years, there have been so many wrestlers who switched their brands and reinvigorated their careers in the NXT. Finn Balor, Charlotte Flair, Apollo Crews, and many more.

So The New Day going to NXT and putting on banger matches isn’t a downgrade but a level up in their career. While this is a new platform for Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods was one of the original wrestlers, alongside Seth Rollins and Big E.

So people on the internet are speculating if this is the right move. But they should know that the New Day will only elevate the roster. That was the same thing that Charlotte and Balor did when they challenged some of the best in NXT.

With Big E returning to WWE in a few months, this could prove beneficial, as he could have another run in the roster as well.
