Drew McIntyre is one of the few WWE superstars who recently took massive steps to turn his career around. It is kind of true that McIntyre’s career was at a downfall until he won the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
Since then, there was no looking back for the WWE superstar, and today, he is one of the top stars in WWE. During a call with St. Louis Post-Dispatch, McIntyre revealed his feeling just before he made his entry into the 2020 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
When McIntyre entered the ring, Lesnar was dominating the Royal Rumble match. However, The Scottish Psychopath had other plans. He turned the tables by eliminating The Beast Incarnate.

During the call, McIntyre compared his feelings to a moment in Lady Gaga’s ‘A Star Is Born.’ He said, “If you remember that scene in ‘A Star Is Born,’ [Lady Gaga] had this moment at the side of the stage, thinking, ‘That’s my song. It’s now or never. Am I going to do this?’ That’s how I felt backstage as I was waiting for the music to hit.”
“I was like, ‘This is the moment.’ Boom, the music hit, and I marched into the ring with all the intensity I’ve ever had in my entire life, ready to beat up Brock,” McIntyre added.
A star was indeed born after the 2020 Royal Rumble PPV. The Scottish Psychopath then eventually won his first WWE Championship by defeating Brock Lesnar.
