We are almost a month away from this year’s Money in the Bank premium live event. The qualifying matches for the event began this week on Raw on Monday. In the first qualifying match, Ricochet defeated The Miz and came out victorious from the match. Though ‘The A-Lister’ lost to his opponent, a segment from the match is now trending on social media, all because of him.

He pulled a whole new move on his opponent that left the fans amazed. It also prompted them to compare him to John Cena.

The Miz hits a hurricanrana on Ricochet

The first qualifying bout was a short one. But still had a lot of interesting spots throughout. One segment caught the WWE Universe’s attention so much that it is all the fans are talking about over the internet. A few moments into the match, The Miz hit Ricochet with a hurricanrana followed by a springboard crossbody.

Hurricanrana is not one of his usual moves inside the ring. So the fans were shocked yet thrilled to see him execute the move so flawlessly. It is not unusual for a pro wrestler to use a new move inside the ring.

Many fans pointed out that the 42-year-old star took a page out of Cena’s book when he used a hurricanrana against his opponent.

The WWE Universe compares ‘The A-Lister’ to John Cena

‘The Champ’ is also famous for shocking the WWE Universe by pulling out new moves from his sleeve. On the February 25, 2013 edition of Monday Night Raw, the 16-time World Champion went head-to-head against CM Punk in a no. 1 contender’s match.

The winner of the match was to get a World title shot against The Rock at WrestleMania 29. ‘The Leader of Cenation’ won the match courtesy of a hurricanrana (also not his usual in-ring maneuver), followed by his finishing move, Attitude Adjustment.

The fans compared Cena’s hurricanrana to The Miz’s hurricanrana and left a bunch of comments on Twitter. Let’s have a look at some comments.

Cena was ‘The A-Lister’s mentor, and the latter admitted he has learned a lot from him. Though pulling out a maneuver inspired by his peer didn’t help him win the match, he sure received a lot of praise from the WWE Universe.
