Former World Champion Believes Taking “The Hit” With Possibly Losing Edge to AEW Is a Big Lesson for WWE

Among numerous speculations, the Hall of Famer believes Edge could be joining AEW for one reason. And this might be a big lesson for WWE.

Around the time Edge had his last match in WWE, speculations began on whether the legendary wrestler was leaving WWE due to failed negotiations. Booker T recently shed light on this rumor and offered some advice to WWE.

“Yeah. I see this the way I saw it more than 20 years ago. You gotta be able to take the hit sometimes. You gotta be able to let these guys go. You know, you just can’t pay them what they want,” said the former wrestler in his Hall of Fame podcast.

Contrary to what many might think, Booker T believes that WWE was right in taking the hit and letting Edge go. “I feel like that was a big part of WWE’s masterplan. Let WWE pick up all of those salaries, pay all of that money and nothing really changes,” he said.

While many may disagree, it’s also important to see what exactly Edge said about ending things with WWE. The 49-year-old recently uploaded a video, clearing the doubts concerning his future in the wrestling industry.
