Right now the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship is the apple of the eye of almost every wrestler on the roster. There is barely anybody in the company who didn’t dream of possessing the world titles. But that was not possible for many as with Roman Reigns on a dominating run and a part-time schedule. To correct that, WWE introduced a new world heavyweight championship on RAW a few weeks ago.
Last Friday Roman Reigns was drafted to SmackDown with the WWE Undisputed Universal Championship. Triple H then announced that the new World title will be exclusive to the flagship show.

Ever since Triple H unveiled the newest prize of the company, it has been garnering massive admiration. That being said, there are also some who didn’t understand the very purpose of Triple H bringing the World Heavyweight championship back after all these years.
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff is one of them. While the former WCE legend completely admires the stunning beauty of the belt, he questioned its necessity and criticized the Stamford-based company for going beyond the usual way of title split.
During a recent episode of this 83 Weeks podcast, the 67-year-old noted, “Sorry but I think the idea is they want another major championship on the brand since Roman is going to be exclusive to SmackDown so they won another championship on Raw and you know in theory, that’s great but Roman Reigns can bounce back and forth well but he can’t according to this new rules of the draft that they said in story he doesn’t want to work Monday’s.”
He continued, “Essentially so he’s going to be exclusive to SmackDown so he has these two championships that count as one and that’s where the whole Cody not winning WrestleMania thing really bothers me because you had a natural way to split those championships back up with Cody had he won at WrestleMania.”
However, the new title is inching toward its worthy claimant with or without Eric Bischoff’s validation.
Triple H made a huge announcement regarding the new world championships
During last night’s SmackDown press conference, HHH announced that there will be two separate triple threat matches on both Raw and SmackDown after Backlash. The winners from each match will face each other in the main event of their respective shows. The two winners from those matches will lock horns again at the Night of Champions later this month for the coveted title.

While the new World Heavyweight Championship is sealed for Raw, SmackDown participants can also try their luck in case of vacant championships. If a SmackDown star wins the title, he could be free to make his way to RAW as well.
