WWE Superstars have the advantage of shifting from one brand to another. This ensures a continuity of their wrestling career with the company if something unfortunate happens. This is what might happen with Daniel Bryan.
On WWE Friday Night SmackDown: April 30th, 2021, Daniel Bryan had a match against The Universal Champion Roman Reigns. Since Bryan was after the belt for a while, Reigns got tired of him. Hence, he issued a last match to Bryan with the stipulation that if Bryan lost, he would quit SmackDown.
Unfortunately for The Leader of the Yes Movement, he couldn’t defeat ‘The Tribal Chief’. As a result, he had to quit the blue brand. Now, if he wants to continue his journey with WWE, he has two options, NXT or Raw.

Johnny Gargano and Daniel Bryan have worked together when both of them were a part of the independent scene. They worked at Absolute Intense Wrestling promotion twice, and now, they could begin working at NXT.
If Daniel Bryan moves to NXT, WWE could put him in a storyline where he would eventually become the NXT Champion. Furthermore, the brand will be more suited for his athletic abilities.
Bryan had an interesting 2021 in terms of PPVs. From Elimination Chamber to WrestleMania 37, he was feuding with Roman Reigns. Had he continued to stay on SmackDown, he probably would have been at WrestleMania Backlash against Reigns too.
Who might replace Daniel Bryan against Roman Reigns?
With Bryan out of the way, Roman Reigns and Edge can have a rivalry without a third Superstar involved. On the other hand, Cesaro has been trying to provoke the Universal Champion’s rage towards him.
