Ahead of the Elimination Chamber, one of the major updates coming from WWE right now is the official deal with one of the top indie talents, Colby Corino. The star has previously confirmed his discontinuation from NWA, which took place at the end of the last year and announced himself as a free agent. Colby’s father, Steve Corino, a former ECW star, had also tweeted in the response to his son’s free agency.
Colby Corino signs a deal with WWE
According to Bodyslam.net, the former NWA star has signed contract with WWE only recently. The report states, ”In an update on my original report, I can now confirm that Colby Corino officially signed a deal with WWE earlier this week. Sources indicated to me that Corino is expected to report to NXT very soon, and could be as early as the beginning of March.”

This move has not happened out of the blue. According to a previous report, WWE had earlier expressed their wish to have Corino on the roster. He was even supposed to have tryout at the WWE Performance Center in Florida, in order to get a more thorough and clear look from the company.
