Former Impact World Champion and WWE 24/7 Champion, Ethan Carter III (EC3), revealed that he has signed a contract with noted indie promotion Ring of Honor. According to him, the decision results from him wishing to have creative control.

Last year in April, WWE let go of the Superstar as a part of the pandemic-related budget cuts. Since then, EC3 briefly appeared on Impact and Ring of Honor. However, the latter was not official till now.

At Ring of Honor, EC3 started a rivalry with The Briscoes. He was going to face Jay Briscoe at Final Battle but tested positive for covid-19.

Ring of Honor announced the news of his signing with the company days after EC3 came back.

The official statement said, “EC3 seized control of his narrative during his time as a free agent. A darker, more intense and more dangerous EC3 showed up in ROH, declaring that he was on a quest to see if honor is real. Now that EC3 is making ROH his home, he’ll have ample time to find out.”

Following the news, the superstar reiterated and further explained why he actually signed up with the indie promotion.
