At the recently concluded WWE Elimination Chamber, the Hall of Famer couple, Beth Phoenix and Edge faced The Judgment day members, Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor, in a mixed tag team match. Despite Dominik Mysterio trying to tip the scales in his stable mates’ favor, The Grit Couple picked up the victory.

Four days after this hard-fought victory, The Glamazon showed off her battle scars on her social media account while also complimenting Ripley.

Beth Phoenix enjoyed her match with Rhea Ripley

The former WWE Divas Champion, via her Twitter handle, shared a picture of herself that showcases her bruise from the grueling match at Elimination Chamber PLE. She had a stiff battle with Ripley and even though she came out on top, Mami left her mark on Phoenix.

In the tweet, she showed appreciation for Ripley’s wrestling style.  The caption read, “Mean Mami. My kind of gal. [with a kissing face emoji].”

The 3-time WWE Women’s Champion has not seen eye to eye with the inaugural ‘The Eradicator’ for quite some time. Ever since her encounter with Ripley at Extreme Rules last October, where Mami hit her with Con-Chair-To head with a steel chair, Phoenix has been wanting to get her hands on the former NXT UK Champion. And that finally happened at the Elimination Chamber.

But away from the ring, Beth Phoenix has a certain level of respect for the 2023 Women’s Royal Rumble winner.

 

Ripley was injured during Royal Rumble

In the business of pro wrestling, one or the other pro wrestling star keeps getting injured. One such instance was when Ripley was badly injured during her match at this year’s 30-women Royal Rumble match. Fans saw The Judgement Day member bleeding through her nose mid-way during her Rumble match.

Also, after her epic Royal Rumble victory, the 26-year-old took to Twitter to share a photo of her face covered with bruises from her match. The 2023 women’s Royal Rumble winner tweeted the post with the caption, “2023… The year of Rhea “BLOODY” Ripley!”” After that, the WWE Universe poured in lots of love and acknowledgment for Ripley.
