WWE usually saves surprise appearances for its PLEs. Now that Elimination Chamber 2024 is merely a few hours away, we may be getting closer to another surprise appearance. Last year, at the same PLE, Logan Paul shocked the fans with his return. And this year, it seems like the former Women’s Tag Team Champions are making a comeback.
The stars in question are none other than Peyton Royce and Billie Kay. Both the partners were released by the Stamford-based company in April 2021. Despite the talent they had, the promotion didn’t have plans for the team and didn’t offer a new contract. But now, they might be back.

The two former wrestlers uploaded pictures of themselves standing in front of the Elimination Chamber arena being set up in Perth for the PLE this weekend. The arena in the background can be seen resembling the first look that we received a few days back. But their recent pictures weren’t the only ones that McKay uploaded on social media.
After the first picture in which we can see Cassie Lee and McKay standing in front of the stage, there were more images that would grab your attention as a fan. All the Instagram stories following that image were a throwback to The IIconics and their reign in WWE.
All the other stories give us a glimpse of what the two partners went through over the years. This, combined with their presence in Optus Stadium tonight, makes the fans speculate on what could end up happening tonight.
Since Cassie Lee is currently pregnant, we may not see both the stars wrestle at EC, but they still may make an appearance or cut a promo if the promotion is planning to book them in a dynamic other than pro wrestling. Because of their Australian roots, it would make sense for WWE to do this for their fans.

These two aren’t the only stars in Perth who are there without being on the match cards.
Austin Theory receives trouble ahead of Elimination Chamber
After landing in Perth, Austin Theory was invited over by the Editor-in-chief of The West Australian for a brief interview. Upon arriving, Anthony De Cegile was talking to Theory about how he perceives pro wrestling to be ‘fake’. This offended the former United States Champion, who then had a heated argument with the chief editor of the media house.

Even though Theory isn’t booked for any match at the PLE, he still accompanied the rest of the roster to the capital city of Western Australia. We don’t yet know his role at Elimination Chamber much like the two former Women’s Tag Team Champions who could supposedly be involved with the promotion.
