Flaunting His Highly-Valued Rolex Watch on Cody Rhodes’ Documentary Premiere Backfired on Former US Champion

Cody Rhodes’ fans underwent a major adrenaline rush as The American Nightmare went on to address a hyped-up audience during the premiere of his new documentary on Tuesday night in Atlanta. Peacock shaped the epic journey of the accomplished WWE superstar in a sort of movie. It covers all the interesting turns and twists of Rhodes’ life that have been kept in the dark so far. But prior to the much-awaited screening, the 38-year-old WWE superstar took a pivot to thank all the important figures behind the amazing documentary. He especially gave a big shout-out to his good friend, fellow WWE superstar Matt Cardona, but with a pinch of roasting.

The fascinating project began its filming when Cody Rhodes kick-started his second WWE run at WrestleMania 38 last year. The documentary mainly upholds how the legendary Dusty Rhodes’ son sailed the ship to his own legacy and reached this far. There is also an array of interviews with big industry insiders like Triple H, Ric Flair, Kevin Owens, The Undertaker, and his family members, including wife Brandi and sister Teil, to substantiate the truth the documentary wants to bring out.

The American Nightmare paid his heartfelt gratitude to all who have been a crucial part of his documentary. Matt Cardona was one of them and Rhodes didn’t forget to acknowledge his long-time friend as well. That said, he chose to pull his leg in the process for his super-expensive Rolex watch, justifying the closeness between him and the former US Champion.

In one part of his speech, Rhodes noted, I’m so glad I get to share it with some of the best people, friends, family, members of the media, members of the media who helped make this a possibility. Matt Cardona is even here. You want to stand up, Matt? Stand up, Matt. You got to stand up at this point, Matt. You can’t stand up? Matt’s wearing a Rolex, by the way.”

Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder, is one of the closest friends of Cody Rhodes. They trained together, wrestled together, and spent time together for almost a decade and a half. But it seems like not only Cody Rhodes, former Zack Ryder’s enviable Rolex watch, is a matter of discussion among many other WWE superstars, including the industry legend, John Cena.

The 16 times WWE world champion recently posted a photo of Matt Cardona flaunting his silver Rolex watch on his Instagram. The text inside the photo read, ”Matt Cardona has no time to just look at his paper calendar…… When you’re that busy, you need a timepiece that’s always ready, just like Matt.”

Although it was probably for a promotional purpose, as the photo consists of the Rolex logo, his watch continues to steal the spotlight, no matter if it’s in a funny way or an inspiring way.
