Out of all the rivalries Punk had over the years, his rivalry with Samoa Joe will be the standout one. Punk recently recalled the iconic trilogy against Samoa Joe.
Samoa Joe is another veteran in the professional wrestling industry. Just like Punk, the WWE superstar performed in several wrestling promotions. During their immensely successful wrestling careers, Joe and Punk had come face to face on many occasions. But their iconic trilogy in 2004 is the best of the lot.
The iconic trilogy completed 17 years recently. Remembering one of his best battles in the squared circle, Punk posted out an interesting tweet. In his tweet, Punk accused Joe of bribing the referee during the third fight of their iconic trilogy in 2004. In his tweet, Punk wrote, “I was bleeding and you were putting your feet on the ropes and probably paid off the ref.”

This rivalry between Punk and Joe took place while both of them were wrestling in ROH. Even till now, the rivalry between Samoa Joe and CM Punk is one of the most talked-about rivalries. The two superstars contested thrice back in 2004. On the first two occasions, the match ended in a time limit draw. But for the third match of this iconic trilogy, a no-time-limit stipulation was added. In the end, Samoa Joe picked up the victory against Punk in a hard-fought battle.

MJF looks to bring the best out of CM Punk once again
Since making the switch to AEW, Punk is still undefeated. But Punk will now face one of AEW’s most promising talents, MJF. Not only will he provide Punk with a challenge inside the ring, but MJF is also doing some excellent talk on the mic, just like Punk used to do back in his WWE days.

On AEW Dynamite last month, he brought the best out of CM Punk. The two were involved in one of the most interesting segments on AEW Dynamite. Punk and MJF both fired shots at each other. In the latest episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF made it very personal by claiming to attack Punk’s beloved dog, Larry Talbot. It will now be interesting to see how Punk reacts to it on AEW Dynamite this coming week. With every passing week, this rivalry between MJF and CM Punk just gets better and better.
