The entire WWE Universe and especially Dwayne Johnson admirers would know about the American sitcom named Young Rock. They also must have heard all the controversy around it, specifically regarding its casting. Not only are the trolls pointing fingers at this goof-up of the filmmakers, but also a renowned WWE Hall of Famer. His harsh words must have torn down the hearts of the casting directors. 

As we already know, Young Rock is a comedy series based on the life of former wrestler, The Rock. Recently, the sitcom aired its 3rd season, and like previously, it received mixed reviews. However, what was new in the reviews was the trolling and criticism it received for its inaccurate casting. Among the several wrestlers portrayed incorrectly because of the casting, The Godfather was one of them.

In one episode of Attitude Era Podcast, the former WWF Intercontinental Champion reflected upon his character’s casting in the Young Rock series. His words are apparent proof of his unhappiness and dissatisfaction with his character’s portrayal in the series. 

In the podcast, Charles Wright said, “F**k Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. That Mot**rf**ker should never had ceelo f**king green portray me. I’m 6 foot 7, ok, and they portrayed me as somebody who’s 6 foot 1.

So, f**k the Rock, f**k him, m**herf**ker, f**k that ba**ard, , that mo**erf**ker f*cking 3 inches shorter than me and had me 5 inches shorter than me. F**k The Rock,” Wright added. 

Hilarious reviews by audiences upon the irrelevant casting in Young Rock 

Apart from Kama Mustafa, there are other wrestlers whose characters were inappropriately cast. The most popular ones are the characters of The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin. People took to the internet to show their anger at this screw-up that the filmmakers did with the casting. However, the approach was quite hilarious as people started making memes and attacked them in a funny way. 

Some of them even concluded that castings like Triple H’s are done on purpose and even termed it as “Trash on Purpose.”

Not only did they criticize the casting, but also gave it the tag of “The Parody.”

What one can understand from all of it is the lack of attention to detail from the sides of DJ and NBC while casting for the sitcom. However, we hope the audience gets affixed with the show and continues to give their honest reviews.
