The fireflies are one of the most eye-catching aspects of the live WWE crowd at a show. When the WWE Universe has their phones held high in a dark arena, the sight is among the most beautiful in pro wrestling. A term used heavily during the entrance of Bray Wyatt, the fans continue this breathtaking sight. With all the speculation of Uncle Howdy’s return, the excitement of seeing this view in all its glory has skyrocketed. However, did someone already steal the lights?

The WWE has been hinting at the mysterious character’s return since the start of the year. With the impending debut in the wings, we may have also received a foreshadowing of Uncle Howdy’s first opponent.

Jey Uso claims Bray Wyatt’s fireflies are now his

Jey Uso’s entry was one of the most beautiful sights from WWE Backlash France. While it was the standard affair with the fans doing the Yeet gesture, the enthusiasm was off the charts. Adding to it was the use of the fireflies that fans decided to do. WWE has claimed it will use the clip of Jey’s entrance in future WWE promotion packs. Social media saw fans praising the French audience for making the night special. However, this may have gotten to Jey’s head. Taking to social media, it was posted, “Yall ain’t got no damn choice. Fireflies are mines now. #YeeterOfWorlds -jey.”

While it is hard to argue that the former Bloodline member did have the entire arena in his hands, the Bray Wyatt reference is quite apparent. Wyatt was known as the Eater of Worlds, and now Jey has adopted the moniker of ‘YeeterOfWorlds.’ Could this be setting up a feud between Mr. Main Event and a returning Uncle Howdy? or could we see one of the Wyatt 6 take revenge on Jey for claiming to have taken Wyatt’s iconic entrance idea for his own? Perhaps, Jey Uso’s comments after the Backlash PLE could fuel the fire inside them.

Jey revealed he felt Bray’s blessing

Thanks to the fans, Jey’s entrance at WWE Backlash France will go down in history as one of the best reactions a wrestler received. However, he did feel the presence of someone else. During a backstage interview after his match, he said, “I felt like Bray Wyatt was showing love to me.” He also added that this was the first time since Wyatt’s passing that he saw the fireflies in such a spectacular fashion.
