Finn Balor has been absent from WWE NXT for a while. He dropped the NXT title to Karrion Kross at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. However, this was weeks ago and since then the WWE Universe has not witnessed him in action.

Whenever Superstars transition from NXT to Raw or SmackDown, the idea is to have them drop their title to another Superstar working with NXT. As this happened with Balor, his defeat to Kross piqued curiosity among his fans about his main roster debut. However, The Prince has revealed his WWE status with a tweet. He let the fans know he is going to return to the Black and Gold brand this coming week.

Finn Balor has already made his main roster debut

Previously, Finn Balor had moved to the main roster, but he returned to NXT in 2019. It was supposed to be for a brief period, but it turned out to be longer than Balor expected.

During an interview with Corey Graves, the former NXT champion revealed that even though he didn’t expect it to be this long, he’s happy with the brand.

“It was going to be like a three-month deal, kind of reboot Finn, reset, and go back to RAW or go back to SmackDown, or go back to things as normal. But it’s kind of evolved into something that I don’t think anyone expected. I think its thanks to how NXT has also evolving and really, truly its own brand now.”

So, you know, I don’t know what to expect going forward, I don’t know how long it’s going to last, but I have to say I’m super happy at NXT and there’s no reason for me to want to move anywhere in my career at this point.” H/t Sportskeeda.

Undoubtedly, Balor has made a huge name for himself at WWE. Furthermore, NXT’s ratings are just as good as Raw or SmackDown. It’s no longer a separate type, but can be termed as WWE’s third brand.

To conclude, it’s not definitive that once Balor returns he’ll stay at NXT. He might return at NXT next week, and move to another brand the following week. WWE focuses on providing a transition of storylines as much as possible, and Balor coming back to NXT could be that.

Do you think Balor will return for a considerable period? Or is it just to let him have a farewell from NXT?
