After chasing his dream for several years, Cody Rhodes left WrestleMania XL as the WWE Universal Champion. But the pathway wasn’t easy, as on night 1 he had to face Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Roman Reigns in a tag team match. The stipulation was clear: Rhodes would have no outside interferences on night 2 if he won the match. However, The American Nightmare and his tag partner Seth Rollins lost the fight.
So that story was left unfinished, but now it can be completed. There might be a new partner who can help Rhodes, according to WWE superstar Nia Jax.

R-Truth and The Miz added their names to the winners’ list at WrestleMania XL. Truth and Miz dethroned Judgment Day as RAW Tag Team Champions in a ladder match to take the titles for the first time as a team (seventh for Miz and second for Truth). And every champion respects another champion. R-Truth recently uploaded a picture of him where Cody Rhodes is helping him tie the Tag team championship belt around his waist. And in the caption, he revealed how it was Rhodes who offered the help. “He @CodyRhodes said: Let me help you with that…”
And now Nia Jax reposted the story with a narrative of her own. Since The American Nightmare just helped Truth, the tag champion can also help Rhodes finish his story by helping him defeat Rock and Roman again if there ever is a tag team match between the two. Jax simply asked them to “Finish the story” in the caption.

However, it doesn’t look like The American Nightmare would want to team up with him. He recently revealed that he wanted to kick him in the face and even wants a match against Ron Killings. Well, now that’s a piece of heartbreaking news.

Cody Rhodes wants to face Truth
In a recent interview with Cheap Heat, Cody Rhodes, in a relaxed and joking tone, commented on R-Truth’s performance at the Royal Rumble, where the now Monday Night Raw tag team champion emulated John Cena’s classic comeback. Noting that at the time, Rhodes would have liked to kick Truth in the face.
He said, “There is a fun moment where I come out to the Royal Rumble, the place is digging me, it’s Tampa. Here he comes, he’s making John Cena’s comeback. You can see my in the corner. All I wanted to do was kick him in the face and ruin it. I couldn’t because, if I’m their guy, they like R-Truth too.”

In addition, Rhodes also confirmed that he wants to face R-Truth again to defeat him. As he has lost 42 times against R-Truth if you add Raw, SmackDown, and non-televised shows, they’ve fought at. However, most of it came from his time being Stardust. Now that was a forgettable time for Rhodes and the audience, for sure.
