Cody Rhodes might not have his in-ring prowess tested in the Elimination Chamber 2024, but he’ll certainly have to put his patience in check while dealing with the certified WWE bully, Grayson Waller, in Perth, Australia. Before taking him into the hot seat, the SmackDown star cranked up the drama, taking shots after shots to his upcoming guests on the Grayson Waller Effect, Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

Grayson Waller made his name known as one of the key tormentors of the industry bigwigs like John Cena, The Rock, and many others. Before shifting his attention to Cody Rhodes, Waller hyped the heat, making a derogatory mockery out of his most cherished WWE dream. The 33-year-old posted a photo of him with a book in his hand during a flight journey and captioned it, ‘Halfway to Perth and already finished my book. At least someone in WWE can finish a story. Now, adding to the insult, the Australian issued a dig toward the recently formed Cody Rhodes- Seth Rollins alliance. Pointing out their past rivalry, Waller indirectly noted that nothing has changed between The American Nightmare and The Visionary. They are just fooling each other around.

However, it’s not the first time Waller fired shots at the odd-pairing of the iconic rivals.

The former AEW star had a defining past with Seth Rollins. Rhodes, as a young star, used to hate Rollins as he thought his father, Dusty Rhodes, favored The Visionary a little more. Later, they went on to have a trilogy of premium live event matches after Rhodes jumped ship from AEW to WWE. With The American Nightmare getting the upper hand each time, the rivalry picked up pace. Although they teamed up with one another at Survivor Series WarGames 2023, the multiple issues lingering between them showcased that they won’t be friends ever inside or outside the ring. But eventually, the dynamic changed. Thanks to their common antipathy toward The Bloodline. While rumors of a potential tag team formation running high, Waller cast doubts on the strength of a union.

It will be fascinating to see how things pan out between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes down the road.
