‘Finally Teaming Up’: WWE Storyline Spills Into Hollywood as Batista’s Next Movie Will Feature Roman Reigns Doppelgänger Jason Momoa

WWE and Hollywood often go hand-in-hand. Two of the most popular culture landmarks, both WWE and Hollywood are known for generating massive revenues and fans every year. Over the years, several WWE superstars have also jumped shipped to Hollywood. Names such as Dwayne Johnson, Batista, and John Cena are some of the famous ones. However, despite being in the movie industry for several years, fans never saw the three in the same movie.

Until something remotely close came by, while Cena and Johnson were in Fast X, they never shared the screen together. And now the news of Batista sharing the screen with the doppelgänger of Roman Reigns came through recently.

Batista to share screen with Dwayne Johnson’s on-screen enemy and Roman Reigns’ doppelgänger

The Animal Batista is one of the industry’s most talented and popular actors. Over the course of years, he has established his name among the top few in the industry.

While Dwayne Johnson was Black Adam last year, he could have been pitched against the superhero Jason Momoa’s Aquaman. Unfortunately, plans never went through, and fans never witnessed this pair-up. Nevertheless, they would now see Batista getting together with Roman Reigns’ doppelgänger, Jason Momoa.

Reigns and Batista share a history, from Batista eliminating Reigns in the 2014 WWE Royal Rumble to The Shield feuding with The Evolution, these two have shared some intense moments. On the other hand, Jason Momoa has often been compared to as being the lookalike of Roman Reigns.

The news spread on X as one page wrote, “Batista and Roman Reigns finally teaming up”, pointing to the similarity in the appearances of Momoa and the current WWE Undisputed Universal Champion.

Roman Reigns himself has had a small Hollywood career featuring in Fast Hobbs & Shaw and has expressed his desire of moving to the film industry after being done with WWE.

Batista and Aquaman actor Jason Momoa will come together to star in ‘The Wrecking Crew’, a buddy-cop action film directed by Angel Manuel Soto. Soto is also known for directing the DC film, Blue Beetle.

The release date and more plot points about the film are yet to be revealed. Fans only know about this being a buddy-cop film, with Batista coming together with his enemy Roman Reigns’ lookalike.
