Ross left WWE after a 22-year relationship under two stints. He joined AEW for a three-year contract but had to become a part-timer in 2021 for unavoidable reasons. Fortunately, on 22nd August, veteran commentator Jim Ross shared an update on his health through X.
Ross took to X to tweet about his health update. He stated that his Tibia (larger shin bone) is cancer-free as reported by the MRI scans.

Earlier, he had complained of pain related to his leg. In his podcast named ‘Grilling JR’, he told Conrad Thompson about the week-long pain in his leg. Ross was frustrated as he was continuously being referred from one doctor to another instead of being cured.
He said, “I’m not changing doctors. I’m just adding to doctors, I went to one doctor and he said, I have to get you to a specialist that can give you an antibiotic shot. Why can’t you do it? That’s not what I do. They recommend me to this guy. It’s been a challenging week.”
Ross was agitated due to doctors not providing him with a one-stop solution for his ailment. The growing pain only added to the frustration. Ross explained that he needs a break from the process though the recovery has been good.

I don’t want to say I have a target date, but you have to have some kind of goal. Wembley is my goal. I hope I’m back before then, but certainly, Wembley is something I want to be a part of.”
Ross has not been in the commentary box since June 2023 as he took some time off again to battle his ongoing skin cancer. But he has expressed a desire to be available for AEW All In PLE which will be held at Wembley Stadium on 27th August.
