WWE is all about larger-than-life characters infusing different emotions among the fans. There are also supernatural gimmicks that can make anyone freak out just by their very sight. Among the most popular and realistic horror icons in the company’s history, the one name which can’t go unmentioned is WWE legend Marti Wright, mostly known as ‘The Boogeyman’.

After releasing from the company in 2009, the Ruthless Aggression era star kept himself away from the ring except for two special appearances, one at WrestleMania 22 and another was Royal Rumble 2015 as a surprise entrant. Last year was not very good for the star as he reportedly fall victim to a knee injury. A few days back, he had his surgery done.

There was a time during the 2000s when the entire locker room used to be panic-stricken at the utterance of ‘Boogeyman is coming to getcha’. His live worms eating acts add an extra element of fear and creepiness to his get-up dress-up and demon-like makeup.

Fans are hoping for Boogeyman’s potential return, picking an obvious hint

Due to his knee injury, any plans he may have had of an in-ring return were shelved. However, he posted a positive update hinting at a potential WWE return. The video depicts his physique to be ready for ‘coming to get ya’ anytime, and it says Boogeyman is not done yet.

Fans can’t keep calm as the man himself spoke of a return. They rushed to the comment threads to pour out all the love they have for ‘The Boogeyman.’

Some of them even requested WWE to make a deal with the retired star and to feature him as frequently as possible, like before.

With WrestleMania 39 around the corner, one user also hopes for a possible ‘Mania segment for him.

Their comments are proof that one doesn’t always have to be a champion to win fans’ love and trust.
