“FFS, Please”: Fans Disheartened as ‘Roman Reigns of the Women’s Division’ Returns to Challenge Asuka for Her New Championship

It’s raining new titles in the WWE. On the last episode of SmackDown, Triple H unveiled a new Undisputed Universal Championship belt for Roman Reigns. ‘The Tribal Chief’ of The Bloodline was handed over a mustard-colored belt, honoring his achievement of being the champion for over 1000 days. On the recent SmackDown episode, WWE unveiled a new Women’s Championship belt and gave it to Asuka, the current RAW Women’s Champion.

As soon as the belt was presented, a former champion returned, breaking her two-month hiatus. She stormed towards the ring and immediately issued a challenge to the Japanese wrestler. Fans, however, weren’t happy.

Fans compare former SmackDown Women’s Champion to Roman Reigns

Adam Pierce awarded ‘The Empress of Tomorrow’, while Triple H had the honor of presenting the title to ‘The Big Dog’. Just as the Director of Live Events wrapped the belt around Asuka’s waist, Charlotte Flair‘s entrance music was played. The 37-year-old was last seen on WWE TV on April 1, where she lost her Women’s SmackDown Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 39.

Since then, the 14-time world champion was reportedly pursuing other endeavors. However, as soon as she returned, she made her intentions clear and challenged the 41-year-old for a title match. Flair also said that she respects the current champion before issuing the challenge. Moments after Asuka accepted the match, ‘The Queen’ attacked her.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair’s adventures on SmackDown didn’t go well with fans who likened her to Roman Reigns and his title-hoarding nature.

WWE Universe getting bored with Charlotte Flair and her title run

Charlotte Flair took another leave from the promotion last year. When she came back on the last episode of SmackDown in 2022, ‘The Dirtiest Player in the Game’ stepped inside the ring with Ronda Rousey. The former UFC champion was squashed within minutes as Flair picked up the belt.

The repeat show has left fans bored. This time, they are unhappy with what could have been a déjà vu. Airing their sentiment, this user equated her with Roman Reigns: “Charlotte Flair is the Roman Reigns of the Women’s division“

Admitting that they are a fan of The Nature Girl, this fan made a request: “FFS, please, I actually like Charlotte quite a lot but please let Asuka have a decent title reign 🙏🏻“

The return had this user shaking their head: “Charlotte just showed up and got a championship match, unbelievable smh”

Needless to say, this person wasn’t too thrilled: “Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, it did with Charlotte returning 🤦🏽“

A tip for the WWE creative from a fan: “Really? She got to come back? Just please dont make flair the next new champ . Cause its getting boring“
