Nia Jax was a super dominant NXT star before her release from the company in 2021. When the entire world deemed that she was done with wrestling for good, the fierce lady made a surprise return in the 2023 women’s Royal Rumble, only to end up in a humiliating elimination.
No more days have passed since her Royal Rumble return took place. Already social media has started to label Jax as a liar for not keeping her word, ‘I am back’.
The 36th Royal Rumble 2023 occurred at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. It is safe to call it as the woman’s Royal Rumble the more engaging contest as it contained more thrill and surprises than the Men’s. While Rhea Ripley emerged as the winner, it was Nia Jax, who generated the biggest twist.

Social media chastises Nia Jax for not delivering on her promise
The entire crowd was left stunned when the former Raw Women’s Champion made a surprise entry as the coveted No. 30. However, the production team almost ruined the surprise element by playing her theme song a bit earlier. It instantly became meme-worthy in social media. However, the most noteworthy moment was when every woman in the ring beat her up and threw her out of the ring just within 2 min of her entry. Before getting eliminated, she also got slammed by winner Rhea Ripley.
From the very start, it seemed like everything was happening from botching her entire presence in the ring. But regardless of everything, the super confident lady star was seen boasting about her comeback saying, ‘ I am back’. Recently a fan posted that clip on Twitter with the caption ‘you lied’ for her return. Jax’s comeback seems to be a onetime thing and not permanent. Nia Jax shared that post too.
Fans wrote that she did it for good. Because many won’t like her to return. WWE Universe used to address Nia Jax as queen of Botches, given that she has injured many female wrestlers earlier during her run.
Will Nia Jax make a full-time return?
Nia Jax didn’t sign a contract unlike another surprise entrant of the match, Chelsea Green. Having said that, it might be an indication of her full-time comeback to the company in the future. Moreover, there are such examples of returns where a superstar return for one night only and then later coming back as a full-timer in WWE history.
