WWE WrestleMania 39 is slowly taking shape. Recently, the company has announced some updates to confirm the matches that will be taking place. Initially, there were reports that Ronda Rousey would team up with Shayna Baszler against Tegan Nox and Natalya for the Women’s tag team titles.

However, Rousey was affected with injury concerns as she prepared for the big event. And now it looks like her plans to compete in the title match at WrestleMania are in jeopardy.

According to a recent update from Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer, ‘Rowdy’ won’t feature in the Women’s tag team title match that was initially planned. Even though Rousey is still recovering from her hairline fracture injury, she’s committed to appearing at the biggest event of the year. Sadly, she won’t participate with her partner in crime, Baszler to take on Tegan Nox and Natalya.

However, seems like wrestling enthusiasts have fallen out of love, with the former women’s SmackDown champion.

Fans wrote on Twitter:

Some fans are happy, thinking that Rousey won’t feature on the show.

Others are glad to have found a break between other exciting match-ups.

Many fans are glad that Rousey won’t fulfill her goal to participate in the title match and become the tag team champion. After losing her SmackDown Women’s title to Charlotte Flair, Rousey had said she wanted to compete in the tag team division and win the Women’s titles but it looks like that may have to wait for now.

‘Rowdy’ was not in great shape, the last we saw her

Ronda Rousey was last seen around the squared circle sporting a sling around her arm on SmackDown. She was initially scheduled to take on Tegan Nox, with Shayna Baszler by her side. However, due to her injury, Rowdy had to be ruled out of the SmackDown match.

Therefore, Baszler faced Nox in a one-on-one match. However, PWTorch confirmed that Rowdy’s injury wouldn’t prevent her from competing in the 39th edition of WrestleMania.
