We have all seen WWE wrestlers who had enormous potential lose their jobs for a variety of reasons. May it be management’s incompetence at utilizing them or unfortunate injuries at the worst times. But few have been more heartbreaking than seeing a wrestler lose his job because of the cultural climate in America at the time of his arrival.
No one can be blamed in that case. Neither it is the management’s fault nor the star’s inability to perform, it is the unfortunate timing that killed all his momentum and led an early to his promising wrestling career. But luckily for this former WWE star who put down The Undertaker, he made it out fine and is doing well in his professional life.

We are talking about none other than Muhammad Hassan, the wrestler who arrived in WWE during the Ruthless Aggression era, in 2005. Immediately, his arrival sparked everyone to hate him as he put down none other than the American Badass The Undertaker.
He came in and demolished the Hall of Famer in one fell swoop. This brought a lot of fans to rain down on him with boos. Many critics and fans had already made the prediction that Hassan was the next big heel, as he even worked with Hulk Hogan. Portraying a foreign heel on American soil is nothing new in WWE, but Hassan’s gimmick of an Arab villain came after the horrific events of 9/11. At the same time that Hassan introduced his Arab character, there was a major backlash from advertisers to get Hassan off WWE TV.

So, Vince McMahon was forced to let go of Hassan and kill his momentum. This wasn’t everything though, as Hassan also got pushed down other ventures in wrestling. Moreover, even though being Italian, the man received death threats from fans who were upset at seeing him in WWE portraying an Arab villain character.
Fans display love towards Muhammad Hassan after showing him as a school principal
Even though everyone hated him when he was in the ring, his gimmick was perfect from a pro wrestling point of view. Not only was he entertaining and got a good reaction in the ring, but could go in the ring as well. Unfortunately, his wrestling career didn’t reach the heights it could have due to troubling circumstances.
So, it makes sense that people are happy to see Hassan succeed despite a bad trajectory in wrestling. Even former WWE announcer The Coach acknowledged the way Hassan was treated in the wrestling industry.
I have never felt worse for an incoming talent than this man right here. Certaij people (not everyone) made his life a living hell. So glad to see he got out and is doing wonderful it looks like. https://t.co/UdmrgGj6th

The way the wrestling industry treated Hassan should never have happened.
He got let go because of an angle WWE put him in
Again he got let go because an angle WWE put him inThat's like being at any job and getting fired for what your boss tells you what to do
They could of repackaged him or something
But glad he's doing good— Nik Scott (@78NIKatNITE) April 24, 2023
That's good to see. I honestly thought he was a good character in WWE, but it was too soon for that. Society was still sensitive from 9/11. Though it was ridiculous bc he was playing a character, he got threats if I remember correctly. Glad he's doing fine. He was very good.

If his career blossomed the WWE would be completely different.
