WWE Universe around the world mourned the death of professional wrestling legend Kamala who passed away at 70. Kamala performed in the company for a combined five years and a few sporadic appearances in the early 2000s.

He had this different look of a fearless African soldier or warrior. In fact, he made barefoot wrestling cool long before Matt Riddle. The late wrestler wore facepaint, a loincloth and would walk down the aisle wearing a mask as he carried a spear and shield.

James Harris was the real name of Kamala. He first wrestled in 1978 and won titles in multiple companies.

The former wrestler was no more on 9th August, 2020. After hearing about the passing, WWE sent out an official statement from their website.

Under the frightening face paint of Kamala, the 6-foot-7, 380-pound Harris battled the greatest Superstars in sports-entertainment history, including Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker and Andre the Giant.

He terrorized opponents and thrilling audiences in Mid-South, World Class Championship Wrestling, WCW, and WWE until 2006.
