Bray Wyatt went toe-to-toe with LA Knight in a Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble in January, winning the bout. While his next opponent was supposed to be Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39, that match never took place as the 35-year-old wrestler remained out of action due to physical issues. Now, a recent update about the former leader of The Wyatt Family has dashed all hopes of fans.

Sad with the latest reports, the WWE universe came down hard on the three-time world champion.

WWE has reportedly removed the 35-year-old wrestler from its internal rosters. PWInsider Elite revealed the report behind its paywall.

This provided some closure to ongoing speculation since Wyatt appeared in a video on the February 27 episode of RAW, taunting his then WrestleMania 39 opponent, Lashley. Meanwhile, fans turned their backs after the news broke.

From using words such as ‘mistake‘, ‘waste’, and ‘awful investment’, there was no shortage of criticism for The Eater of Worlds. Here are the reactions:

Earlier this year, WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg revealed that the Stamford-based promotion had hired a new writer for the 35-year-old. According to reports, WWE writer Nick Manfredini, who worked closely with Wyatt, left the company earlier this year, leaving the superstar working with a new writer.

Interestingly, a former WWE employee had predicted Wyatt’s future earlier this year.

73-year-old wrestling legend says even Triple H couldn’t do anything about Bray Wyatt’s character

Dutch Mantell, who was known as Zeb Colter during his stint in the WWE, had predicted Bray Wyatt’s future in the company a few weeks ago. In an episode of his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the 73-year-old said even Triple H didn’t have the ability to fix Wyatt’s storyline.

“That story with Bray is going nowhere. I don’t even think Triple H can figure this out because it’s not believable at all,” he said.

Contrary to all the negativity around Wyatt, former WWE writer Vince Russo called the wrestler a “freaking genius”. The legendary writer said he would have loved to work with the 35-year-old and picked him as his number one pick.

Appearing on Road Dogg’s ‘Oh You Didn’t Know’ podcast, Russo said, “For a lot of people, I watch and I do say God, I wish I could have you, wish I could write. I am being honest because I feel you know my opinion that there are people that are being underutilized.”

“At the top of my list, I mean and Bray is been on the top of my list for a long time and he doesn’t need Vince Russo writing for him but I think Bray is freaking genius yeah you know,” he added.
