Can Seth Rollins bounce back from this injury, or is it a career-defining setback?

On Monday Night RAW, Bronson Reed caught ‘The Visionary’ Seth Rollins by surprise as he brutally beat him up, hitting six tsunamis. This left Rollins severely injured, with blood coming out of his mouth. Security had to rush in to check on the wrestler who lay in pain. And the arena erupted in chaos. All this occurred right after CM Punk and Drew McIntyre’s promo regarding their matchup at SummerSlam and how they might end up having a rematch, as per the segment.

After CM Punk ran to get his hands on Drew McIntyre the Scotsman provoked Punk by saying he had Larry and AJ Lee in his corner. Bronson Reed appeared out of nowhere and attacked Rollins at the corner. He lifted him for a Death Valley Driver, followed by two Sentons, and finally finished things off with six Tsunamis. The medical staff rushed Rollins to the hospital. But in a backstage interview, Adam Pearce revealed that it was too soon to gauge the extent of his injuries.

For now, it seems like Seth “Freakin” Rollins might’ve suffered internal bleeding. So is Rollins being written off television again? But why? He just returned before the Money in the Bank last month. This was a question that perplexed many on social media. Well, according to a recent tweet uploaded by a user, we may finally have the answer. In the tweet, the user uploaded the clip of Seth Rollins, hitting the stomp on Damian Priest.

However, the delivery of the stomp looks very awkward, and the way Rollins lands surely could have caused further injury to his already healing leg. This proves that Rollins is still not completely match-fit and has to be written off television.

Well, wrestling fans might agree with these speculations. People have noticed that the one match he had after returning was nowhere close to his usual standard. He also didn’t have a SummerSlam match, which adds more to these conjectures.

For the unaware, The Visionary suffered a torn MCL and partially torn meniscus that led him to take a long break after WrestleMania XL. According to journalist Sean Ross Sapp, it occurred during his world heavyweight title defense against Jinder Mahal on January 15. But the Priest incident may have made it worse.

Regardless, once he recovers, he will be booked to fight against Bronson Reed. The giant has been looking for his path to success. Seeing that Pearce is not interested in booking him for top-tier matches, it seems like he has taken matters into his own hands, as he promised. But do you know that this is not the first time the two have been set to feud?

One of the most notable absences from Elimination Chamber 2024 was that of Bronson Reed. As fans expected, the Australian could fight or at least have a segment in his native country. This is something that Rhea Ripley, Indi Hartwell, and Grayson Waller have achieved. Reed later revealed that, originally, he was scheduled to be at the event. But the plans changed because of the birth of his son. So it was best to be with his family.

However, as reported by Fightful Select, the real reason why Bronson Reed was not going to be in the Elimination Chamber was Seth Rollins’ injury. Both superstars were going to face each other for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Premium Live Event.

Afterward, Reed learned that his spouse’s due date was on the day of the event, and eventually stayed home. But he was willing to wrestle in the Elimination Chamber before hearing this news, even if it wasn’t against Rollins.
