Without a doubt, Chris Jericho is one of the most revered wrestlers who is still active in the ring at an age when most wrestlers retire. And on the other hand, we have The Icon, Sting, who also hasn’t hung his boots even at the age of 64. With AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door fast approaching, the duo is set to collide in a trios action.
WWE legend Bully Ray recently conjured up a match between Sting and Jericho at All In. In addition, Ray had an interesting opinion on Jericho’s WWE Hall of Fame induction should he lose to Sting and leave AEW.

Let’s call a spade a spade and admit that Chris Jericho’s in-ring career is inching towards its end. No matter how good he still is in the ring, he is nothing like what he was in his prime. But his career is filled with great moments. Who can forget how Jericho defeated The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin on the same night to become the Undisputed World Champion? Jericho has carved out a fire-sure Hall of Fame career.
However, he is yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. In fact, the chances of him being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame are very unlikely due to his stint with AEW. During an edition of Busted Open Radio, show host Dave LaGreca and Bully Ray discussed how Jericho could leave AEW and go to WWE.
LaGreca said that he would love to see Jericho lose to Sting and jump ship and then go on to have one final run in WWE before being inducted into the Hall of Fame. Interestingly, Bully Ray said Chris Jericho would “no-show” his WWE Hall of Fame.
He said, “Jericho will no-show his Hall of Fame induction. You heard it here, Chris Jericho will pull an “Axl Rose” and no-show his Hall of Fame induction.”For the unversed, Axl Rose was the lead singer of the famous rock band Guns N’ Roses. In 1991, Axl Rose caused a riot at Riverport after no-showing the concert. Strangely enough, ‘The Ocho’ is a rockstar himself.
In all fairness, Jericho once expressed his unwillingness to ever go back to WWE. But to think that he would no-show on the biggest night of his career could only mean that Jericho is not on good terms with WWE.
Jericho of course had one of the most memorable debuts in WWE history when he interrupted The Rock on RAW on August 9, 1999, and received a loud pop.
Nevertheless, Jericho will team up with Sammy Guevara and Minoru Suzuki and take on Sting, Darby Allin, and Tetsuya Naito.
Chris Jericho once stated that he would never leave AEW for WWE
Despite nailing down a legendary wrestling career in WWE, Chris Jericho decided to join Tony Khan’s company during its inception. Today, Jericho is one of the bigwigs of the company with a lot of authority backstage.
Aside from wrestling, the former WWE Champion manages and mentors young talents. However, while one may think that he belongs to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, Y2J once stated that he would never leave AEW for WWE.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Chris Jericho revealed the real reason why he would never leave AEW and go to WWE. He said, “I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. I don’t hold a torch for WWE. To me, that’s not ‘the place to be’. AEW is the place to be […] So I don’t know why I wouldn’t want to finish my career in AEW.”
At this point, seeing Jericho be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame remains a pipedream for wrestling fans.
