This week’s AEW Dynamite received a huge pop from the audience. The Elite cut an amazing promo on the Blackpool Combat Club and people loved the chaos created by the Jericho Appreciation Society. However, fans still found it incomplete as the company’s main ring announcer was not there. Justin Roberts, the main AEW ring announcer in the former WWE star who has introduced John Cena, and The Undertaker, has to take a step back from the wrestling industry due to his health condition. 

The former WWE star takes a step away from the wrestling industry

Recently, the former WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts came on the internet and shared heartbreaking news with the fans. Roberts posted a picture of himself from his official Instagram handle informing fans about his current health issue. Roberts has recently turned out to be COVID-positive and he will maintain a distance from the wrestling industry for a while.

Along with the picture, the former WWE announcer also shared a message saying that it feels like 2020 again. Roberts even mentioned that although he is maintaining social distancing from the AEW Dynamite this week, still he is looking forward to watching the show on television.

Along with the image, Justin Roberts wrote, “The look when you’re absolutely..positive you can’t fly to work for a few more days. Social distancing from Dynamite tomorrow like it’s 2020, look forward to watching on TBS 8/7PM and getting back next week!”

As soon as Justin Roberts announced this news, his co-workers and several other popular names in the professional wrestling industry started to send him love and support in the comments section.

Popular names like Taya Valkyrie and Jade Cargill expressed their best wishes to him.

A quick glance at Justin Roberts’ career

Justin Roberts is one of the most popular ring announcers in the world of professional wrestling. He started his career in 1996, but his popularity skyrocketed after he joined WWE in 2002.

Roberts worked for Vince McMahon’s company for 12 years. During his time in the WWE, he got a chance to introduce major wrestlers of the company like John Cena and The Undertaker at that time. He was even a part of a famous in-ring segment with Bryan Danielson (Daniel Brayn then).

If we talk about his current company, then Justin Roberts is working at Tony Khan’s AEW. He joined the company in 2019 and there he got his nickname ‘The Dapper Yapper’.
