When we think of the greatest tag teams in wrestling, we cannot forget to name FTR on the list. Even though the team is currently signed to AEW, it was originally a product of WWE. Not only was the team beloved by fans, but also by a renowned wrestler of the division, Randy Orton. The bond became so strong that he even once got involved in a real-life beef with Triple H over FTR. After having a magnificent run in 2022, the team won several titles, including ROH, AAA, and IWGP tag team titles. Unfortunately, all of these are not part of WWE as they left the roster in 2020. There were several speculations about why they left the promotion. However, FTR then The Revival, once revealed the truth behind their departure themselves.

In one recent episode of FTR With DAX, AEW star, Harwood recalled the time when The Legend Killer fought for them. Orton wanted to push forward the storyline of The Revival so it continues and can gain more traction. However, The King of Kings didn’t want the same. After having several conversations with each other, it looked like they were in a little argument.
Dax said, “I remember him and Hunter actually getting into a little — I don’t want to say spat or an argument — but Hunter was trying to get Vince’s vision to Randy and just let it be because that would be the easy way out; Vince is going to fight for who he wants.”

Randy Orton Joined The Revival
After this little feud between the two well-known wrestlers of WWE, Orton joined Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood to form one of the long-lasting trios of the promotion. Soon they teamed up against The New Day to beat them for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at WWE Clash of Champions in 2019. This also made them the first team to hold the WWE Tag Team Triple Crown Champions.

Even after gaining so much popularity, The Revival decided to leave. This was due to the poor bookings when once they were pulled from all their dates on the main roster. We wish we could see more of these NXT superstars on the main roster. However, being fans, we will still cheer hard for them.
